होश वालों को खबर क्या बेखुदी क्या चीज़ है

इश्क़ कीजे फिर समझिए ज़िंदगी क्या चीज़ है I

उनसे नज़रें क्या मिलीं रोशन फ़िज़ाएं हो गईं

आज जाना प्यार की जादूगरी क्या चीज़ है I

खुलती ज़ुल्फ़ों ने सिखाई मौसमों को शायरी

झुकती आँखों ने बताया मैकशी क्या चीज़ है I

हम लबों से कह न पाए उनसे हाल\-ए\-दिल कभी

और वो समझे नहीं ये ख़ामोशी क्या चीज़ है I

कायम शुद्धीत असलेल्यांना काय माहिती कि बेधुन्दि काय चीज आहे

प्रेम करून पहा मगच समजेल जिंदगी काय चीज आहे !

तिच्याशी नजरानजर झाली आणि सगळ्या दिशा उजळून निघाल्या ;

आज समजले प्रेमाची जादू हि काय चीज आहे !

(तिच्या ) सुटलेल्या केसांनी शिकवली मौसामाना ( ऋतूनां) शायरी

झुकलेल्या डोळ्यांनी शिकवले मद्यधुंद (बेहोष अवस्था ) काय चीज आहे !

आम्ही ओठांनी तिच्या पर्यंत आमच्या दिलाची अवस्था पोहोचवू शकलो नाही

आणि ती पण आमचे  शांत राहणे समजू शकली नाही !
